Hypothecation termination of Vehicle on Parivahan:

- It is faceless service - you don't need to visit RTO for removing Hypothecation. Just pay 200 Rs fees online and upload all mandatory documents (marked with asterisk(*)) online on parivahan.gov.in, especially Form 35 and/or NOC received from Bank at vehicle loan closure.

- It takes little more than 1 month from the date of online submission of documents till the new RC is received at home.

- RTO staff verified the documents after 18-20 days after payment of fees and submission of documents online. During this period, you need to have patience, as there is no status update on your application. Don't run to RTO for inquiring. 

- Dispatch of Smart RC Card was done by Indian Post. There was no tracking number of it, but it came within 3-5 days after you see the dispatch status. 

- You don't need to submit old RC smart card. You can destroy it yourself, once you receive new RC smart card with Hypothecation information removed.
